Jamie’s vision is simple – work with great people to create amazing spaces.

After decades of experience, working on both UK and international interior architecture projects, he understands the value of positive relationships. His work spans several sectors, with specialisms in Hospitality, Residential, Workplace and Higher Education. As well as developing creative concepts, he’s worked closely with client and project teams to bring projects to fruition.

Jamie’s commitment to everyone involved in a project, from clients to the team to the end-user, sets him apart. In his own words, “Good relationships create good projects – it’s inevitable.” That’s why he’s excited to be working with a brilliant, forward-thinking team. He knows that by getting a true understanding of clients’ needs, Blokka can deliver high quality, creative design that pushes boundaries appropriately and creates spaces that people enjoy.

Co-founder Lisa’s passion is for design that puts people first. Her starting point is the end goal, thinking about those who will interact with the spaces created and tailoring schemes to meet their needs.

Lisa brings around two decades of experience to Blokka, with skills that range from design concepts and client engagement to project delivery and management. She has worked as an independent consultant, as well as heading up a large interior design team within one of the UK’s leading architectural practices.

Although Lisa has worked across a multitude of sectors, she has specialist experience within Hospitality, Healthcare, Residential, Education and Later Living. Lisa’s skill in creating environments doesn’t only cover projects. She’s committed to making Blokka a place where the team can thrive, through curiosity and an adventurous spirit. By supporting development and growth, the greatest outcomes for our clients are realised.

Dave’s impressive portfolio and professional, upbeat attitude have enhanced design teams and client relationships alike for the last 15 years in both the A&D and D&B sides of the industry.

Dave maximises practical design solutions with creative flair. Always an asset to project teams with his dedication and clear, direct communication. Alongside his role as Director, Dave continues to have close ties with local Universities, acting as an industry mentor to students studying interior design at the University of South Wales.

Cath

Catherine is an experienced RIBA Registered Architect with over 20 years working within the Public sector. She has been involved in the design and delivery of several major projects and has an in depth knowledge of sustainable design as a Certified Passivhaus Designer.

Catherine has worked closely with a wide number of clients and stakeholders on a variety of schemes, at all times she aims to develop interesting design solutions that are functional and carefully composed whilst responding to both clients needs and to the local context.

Sustainability and biophilic principles are ingrained in Jemima’s approach to both life and design. As a passionate conceptual designer, Jemima generates fresh & relevant interior schemes with the skills to imagine, detail & deliver projects from concept to completion.

With a well-travelled background and diverse career, Jemima is based in Blokka’s Cardiff Studio. Jemima was awarded an RSA design award for an inclusive living project whilst studying and the title of Mix Interiors 30 under 30 in 2019, a celebration of young emerging talent in the interior design industry.

Detail driven with extensive technical knowledge Jorge has been designing & delivering commercial interior design schemes for the past 12 years. Having worked on a wide & varied portfolio of projects requiring all disciplines of design from concept presentation to construction information and specification Jorge brings a wealth of experience to every project.

In addition to this, he has experience of developing key interior design strategies for clients throughout the country, and leading award winning refurbishment and new-build interior projects on site.

Steve

Steve is a senior, chartered, Architectural Technologist (Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists CIAT (MCIAT) and graduated from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC) in 2006. Having worked for both large and small practices on projects all over the UK as well as internationally, Steve has an honest, open approach to both professional and personal performance which is reflected in his work. He has excellent design and technical detailing skills and is able to produce high quality drawing packages on simultaneous projects whilst working to tight project deadlines.

An ambitious Interior Designer with 4+ years of experience delivering a variety of projects from conception to completion across the Education, Residential and Workplace sectors.

Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and a Master’s in Graphic Communication, Deni is committed to establishing a streamlined connection across both industries to produce comprehensive design schemes.
